Arche, 2023
“Arche” is the beginning of a drawing practice based investigation, using traditional and digital methodologies towards uncovering the influence of female philosophers within the Ancient Athenian Agora, particularly in the Poikile Stoa, a physical structure where art and philosophy intertwined.
“Arche” begins its investigation through a cross analysis of ancient literary references along with contemporary scholarship, and without much physical evidence, drawing is necessary in this investigation to physically connect the dots in fragmented information. This is an ongoing process and will be continuously updated.
